Dr. Orton coined the term Strephosymbolia the term means twisted symbols but in the past it has been defined as word blindness or ADHD /ADD (we are of a mind to give it a simple definition) we see everything backwards as if in a mirror and YES it is just that simple . many educational experts would say we can help your child to read normal again when addressing a condition that has no known medical cure. the human brain with all it pathways and nero connections is a field of study that is still at the tip of the iceberge, doctors still have not maped it all out . in our study of our own range of vision we have found this to be ever so true , we have come to depent on computer technology to be able to read text as if normal once again , the world was not always backwards to us , our dyslexia is the result of what is known as a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) so we now know how text is suppose to appear in the standard view , our journey over the last 20 years has involved how to make the text look normal again and accept things as they are and not as they were, if any parent has reason to believe there child reads or writes in a mirrored format they should be advised to get testing done ASAP , if not this will hender the childs education , peer preasure and many other issues in life .
